Have you ever set a crazy goal and then told other people about it? ?Welp, if you haven’t try it and see what happens. Lol.
A couple of years ago, I start traveling frequently with a friend. ? Majority of our trips were random, from tickets we caught on sale or just places we wanted to visit. We emerged ourselves in different cultures, tried different cuisines and met a ton of wonderful people. Those were the good days, however I don’t travel as often anymore while I’m trying to adult and become debt free soon! #cashappme5 ? if you want to assist. lol jk
One of the goals I made during that time was to travel to 30 states before my 30th birthday. It seemed feasible at the time; I still had 2 years to complete the goal and only 10 states remaining. Last month, I thought about this goal and that I had a remaining 7 states to travel to in order to accomplish the goal. I forgot to mention, one key fact, I had at least 5 weeks until my 30th birthday. #yikes I could either a.) forget the goal or b.) travel.
Side note: If you know me even a little bit you know which one I decided to do.

I requested time off work and I purchased a last minute plane ticket the week before starting my vacation. This was so out of the ordinary for me because I’m a planner by nature, but I decided to wing this trip. I didn’t book any hotels or anything. Long story short, I did it! I successfully traveled to 7 new states by bus, subway or rental car in 4 days! #wow
I traveled to:
1. Pennsylvania – had a philly in philly, it was alright
2. Delaware – saw the Delaware River
3. Massachusetts- so much history, I’ll have to come back on a separate trip
4. New Hampshire – went to a vineyard and had some wine ?
5. Rhode Island – had salmon in Providence, beautiful architecture on the buildings.
6. Vermont – tons of hills, sharp curves and beautiful greenery
7. Maine – I saved the best for last; absolutely beautiful, delicious lobster and I saw a lighthouse.
The trip was amazing and relaxing!
What’s on your bucket list? What is one of your crazy goals? You never know what you can accomplish until you try.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 KJV
