Story time: I won a robot vacuum cleaner at work last week and tested it out over the weekend. While I was watching it clean my floor, I noticed every time it hit a baseboard, a door, or any other type of object it would turn and try to move forward from another angle. Also, I noticed that when it hit an obstruction, the next time it came to the same distance as the previous object it would try one more and then turn around and continue cleaning.
After the third time, it remembered there was an object at that distance so it would not hit the same object and continue cleaning. First off- this vacuum cleaner is too smart; however, like I often say there’s a lesson in almost everything if we look for it. ?
Often in life when we are learning or building a new business or service we hit roadblocks and feel like we are stuck and have no other options. In those moments, we can pivot and try another option.
What is Pivoting?
to modify a policy, opinion, product, etc., while retaining some continuity with its previous version, especially as part of a strategy to appeal to a different audience
Don’t be afraid to pivot. We can pivot and phone a friend, hire someone to help, take a class on YouTube university for free 99 and or go back to the drawing board and review what you already have and make adjustments.
Our options are endless to win in this season!
Question of the Day: How can you pivot with your current task and finish this year strong?
Scripture: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Matthew 7:7-8 KJV
