Let me take a moment and brag about my mama. It’s my mom’s 60th Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday, Mama!
If you grew up with me when I was younger and you ever spent a night at our house, I’m pretty sure you went to church with us. To my cousins and neighbors, y’all are the real MVPs.?
People ask me about my love for Jesus – and while I can get a prayer through for myself now, I’m grateful for my mom because she planted the seed.
It’s not a struggle for me to get up for 5 am prayer because we did this every morning during the week before school.
It’s not a struggle for me to lead a Bible study because my mom was my first Sunday school teacher and the neighborhood Bible school teacher too.
It’s not a struggle for me to teach others what I know, because my mom taught me so much before I even started grade school.
It’s not a struggle for me to share my faith with others because I watched my mom witness to strangers and lead them to Christ.
It’s not a struggle for me to quote scripture because we had to quote one before we had dinner daily.
It’s not a struggle for me to pray because my mom normalized prayer in our home.
It’s not a struggle for me to believe in God because I watched my mom have crazy faith and God provided for us countless times over.
I have so many other wonderful stories that I could share, but I’ll just say mom, thank you. I honor you for planting the seed and for training me up in the word of God. Your seeds will not return void.
Happy 60th Birthday Mama! Love you!
