When I’m in a relationship, one of my biggest pet peeves is inconsistencies. If you are going to skip days or weeks without communicating – we are done done! Keep that same energy! #byeeee
So when I looked at my relationship with God previously, I realized there were gaps in our communication. #ouch
Thankfully my relationship with God is consistent now, but it wasn’t always this way. The same energy I put into building a friendship or invest in a dating relationship, I should do the same for a relationship with God and even more. He wants to spend time with us – daily.
When we spend time with God we learn his quirks, attributes, character, his nature, hear his voice and most importantly build a solid foundation and relationship with him. Once you have a solid relationship with him, you are able to trust and depend on him more. The great thing about God is – he knows us better than we know ourselves and he loves us unconditionally.
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
James 4:8 KJV
