By now, many of us, myself included may have thought Rona would be a little bit more manageable now. In addition to that, you may be trying to make decisions about school for your kids, work environment, and etc…with very limited information.
How can you focus on anything when there are things pulling you in every direction?
In those moments where I feel exhausted, tired, and restless – I tune into the Holy Spirit. There’s never been a time for me as the present that I’m trying to be more aware of and in “direct” communication with God. I want to ensure God and I are on the same station, frequency, and that I’m tuned in to what he has to say about everything!
I feel in order for me to do that – I’ve had to make God a priority in my life. I’m reminded of the stories in the Bible in which Jesus retreated away from his disciples to a mountain or a garden to take some time to be still and pray to his father. I feel like I’ve taken more of those moments now to just tune in to God. Even, if it means stopping midday at work to say a prayer or after work in addition to my morning prayer time.
I’m intentional every morning about my prayer time, not trying to make it a ritual or anything, but just to show him I truly love him and desire to have those intimate moments with him. I want to talk to God before I like a picture on social media or text a friend back. I just want to be tuned all the way into what he’s saying in this season.
Question of the Day: How have you tuned into God in this season?
Scripture: “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” James 4:8 KJV
