This blog was inspired by Jonathan Traylor’s song called Masterpiece. Listen to it if you get a chance.
Pick a woman and ask them one thing that they don’t like about their physical physique and usually, they can name at least one or more things. #shamefully
On any given day of the week, I want to be a little smaller, I hate my arms and when I don’t get enough sleep I have bags under my eyes. ???
I am working on declaring more positive things about my self image.
Societal norms say you have to be this size, look this way and etc…And to make things worse, women are sometimes more likely ‘to shade’ other woman, instead of giving them a compliment or pulling them to the side to see if they need help or sometimes just don’t know. You never know what someone is going through and that little shady remark, may be the exact thing they don’t need to hear in that moment.
Instead of throwing shade, maybe you can pick three women and compliment them versus saying something negative. It is important to remember to be a reflection of our creator. If only, we could always see us as God sees us.??
He sees us as his beautiful masterpieces.
You know how expensive a masterpiece is…ummm let me try to do the math for you.
It is expensive expensive and it aint cheap! Thankfully Jesus paid it all for us, in full.
Because God made sure we came with NO clearance stickers (although I love a good sale), NO discounts, NO buy one get one half off. Bottom line period. So, next time before we complain about God’s creation, take a selfie and remember he created us all to be a unique masterpiece!
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
