Last week we discussed, tapping into all of our skills and abilities that God has given us. But, low-key how can you tap -in when you are doubting yourself? Like, bruh, you are in your own way? ?
Scripture reminds us: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”Philippians 4:13 KJV
*** Note, that scripture says all things and not some things. ***
And: “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9 KJV
I’ve learned that no matter how many people try to do your skillset and God-given talent, there is not another you. You can have sisters and brothers that grew up in the same house with you and yall will still have unique perspectives, stories, and talents to share with others.
Getting out of your own way, sometimes means starting while you are scared. Feel fear and do it anyway. Maybe for you, it is starting with one social media post or responding to an e-mail about a new opportunity. Whatever it is, we must all start.
What if you are unsure of your purpose? That’s a great question. I will leave you with this question of the week to ponder. Purpose is within you, we must get out of our own way.
I went to a conference on last week and I’ll share with you a beautiful question from Valerie Burton regarding purpose.
Purpose Question: How are other’s lives better when they cross paths with you?
That is a GREAT question to ponder and will help one understand their purpose. I love this post!! We all have purpose and gifts to be used for the edification of the kingdom. Great post!!
Amen! I hope it truly helps someone and you are so right. We all have a ton of gifts to be used for the kingdom of God.
Really great question to think about. I often don’t pay attention to how others are positively impacted by crossing my path. But I do know that people love being in my company.
Think about why they love crossing paths with you. That could lead to your purpose.
