I recently heard a story from a friend that immediately struck me as something worth sharing on my blog.
Story time: A man was walking down the aisle of an airplane during a bout of extreme turbulence. While everyone else looked nervous after the flight attendants instructed them to put on their seat belts, he remained calm and unbothered. A nearby passenger, noticing his demeanor, asked why he wasn’t concerned about the turbulence. The man simply replied, “Because my Father is the pilot.”
This story resonated deeply with me. It reminded me that knowing my Heavenly Father is the pilot of my life gives me immense peace. He is the creator of the world and has everything under His control. While others may worry, I can remain calm, knowing that God is not like man—He cannot lie. If He has promised something, it will come to pass. All His promises are “yes” and “amen.” Storms will come, but I can weather them with confidence, knowing God is my pilot.
