It’s all fun and games when God is sending out blessings, but what about when the Holy Spirit tells you no to something.
Y’all I’m in a season where I’m focused on stewardship. Pray for me because I’m not okay. 😩😂😂😂
What is stewardship?
I’m glad you asked. Lol. The short definition of stewardship is managing the property or affairs of someone else. God has given us all talents, gifts, and resources and it is our responsibility to be a good steward of all the things he has given us.
So I’ve shared I love to travel. However, it can be an expensive hobby. Y’all it’s one thing not to be able to afford a trip, but what if Holy Spirit tells you “no” you can miss out on a trip and save all the money you were going to use for traveling? 😩
Of course, I wasn’t happy about it, but I know it is for my good. I’m learning stewardship requires discipline. And discipline leads to living a life of freedom. However, in the meantime, while you are cultivating a disciplined lifestyle – it involves saying no to yourself and others, which to be honest isn’t fun at all. But, I’ve decided I rather be a good steward of the things God has given me, so he can trust me with more.
Question: What’s something you had to say no to – to be a good steward and live a disciplined life?
“Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion, Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head overall. Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.”
