I watched a training video this week and the one thing that stuck with me was the term, “snatch and flip”. In the training, the lady mentioned how sometimes when you are talking to someone and they are venting for a long time, you have to snatch and flip the conversation.
What does it mean to snatch and flip? That’s a great question, I’m glad you asked.
Snatching and flipping is the art of kindly interjecting a conversation, regaining control of the conversation, and flipping the conversation around. To properly flip a conversation, you acknowledge what the person said and then you flip it by refocusing the outcome on something more positive. This sounds easy, right? Lol. I’m sure with practice it becomes easier.
When I thought of the idea of “snatching and flipping”, I thought about God and how he does this for us all the time. I can see God’s hand in my life in several negative situations in which I felt were going to destroy me. But, I’m grateful that I serve a God that can reach down and meet me where I am – although there have been a few situations I feel like he snatched me out of them. ???
Has God ever snatched y’all out of something? ? Okay, maybe it is just me. ?
Even in the snatching, he is able to flip every situation around for my good so that he can get the glory.
